Christmas Eve....

Dad a little bit excited... He got a new bicycle!! Now mom and him can both enjoy the nice summer nights with a bike ride... Mom was always looking for someone to ride with :-)
As us three boys say " Mom got a box with a light and a mirror" but she loves it because now all of her precious moments can come out of those boxes and be shown to everyone.... needless to say there are still a lot in storage haha.


There is the youngest one of us... sad to say but he is the biggest.

Finals Week...

Its been awhile since my last post... but thats because of this "great" week called finals week...
So far it has consisted of:

• 1 "All-niter"
• ~20 cups of coffee
• ~45 hours of studying
• 2 HUGE knots in my back
• 1 hour long massage due to stress (which I really don't have the money for)
  
• 3 Tests

But... I have one of my grades back already and I finished my Statistics class with a B!!! so it all doesn't go in vain... Another class... my Coaching effectiveness class I am expecting about the same in... and then there is ORGANIC CHEMISTRY... Can't wait for this week to be over!

Tanner is Done...

Tanner's last wrestling meet was today... He has finished out his year at 11-2 with 7 falls and got a silver in the entire conference in just his first year. Both of his losses were from the same guy who like I said earlier has definitely been wrestling for quiet a few years. He did improve this time against him and did not get pinned and only lost by 4 points in a 6-2 match. Not bad for his 1st year! It is really fun to see him go out there and play with such confidence. His coaches really taught him a lot this past season and I really hope he pursues it in high school. But next up for him is Basketball season at the school and hopefully he can really shine in that as well. If so he is up for one heck of a decision next winter on what to do.




Jordan is really buckling down on his studies from what I hear and next up for him is his show choir season. Hopefully it will be a fun one and, he also will be doing a power lifting meet sometime early next year which I really really want to make a point to going to. He says his knee doesn't bother him much and from the sounds of it he is getting stronger and stronger everyday. He is hoping to put on a couple pounds before football season so he can really pound those running-backs at the middle linebacker spot.

DeadWeek...

Wow this last semester has FLOWN by... the football team has all but self-destructed, Jordan has had his knee surgery, Tanner is wowing us all with his wrestling, and the rugby team is rated #10 in the nation.
Well dead week is always a time to just cram your head full of TONS of information and I am studying for my first final which is Wednesday but its pretty hard to concentrate when you are missing your brothers wrestling meet for the first time. But sounds like I'm not too much of a good luck charm, Mom just called and Tanner is now 10-1 with yet another fall in just 28 seconds. Looks like he is ready to do some wrestling since he hasn't had a meet in about ten days. Well she is taking pictures and also has the video camera rolling so I wont miss too much.
The weather is supposed to be pretty crazy here tonight and tomorrow so it should be very interesting to see how it all shapes up. Throw out a quick prayer so I can make it back to GI on Thursday so I can watch Tanner at his Conference meet, the last of the season.

Look OUT!!!

Well when winter hits Nebraska it sure is persistent. Saturday we got hit with a nice little ice storm early in the morning and here it is Thursday and we got SNOW!!! I'm super excited because if its cold there might as well be a reason for it and snow is a perfect one in my opinion.

Turkey TIME!!!

Just got an email from mom and it looks like dad and tanner got around to do some turkey hunting... check out the limit...

9-1...

There isn't much else to say other than Tanner really did some damage last night with his 3 EXTREMELY decisive wins. Pinned all 3 of the guys he wrestled and 2 of them were in the first 20 seconds of the 1st period. The other guy lasted till the second but he also pinned the other two. Tanner is doing amazing and really shows a lot of confidence out on the mat. He is so much fun to watch. In the last match I could only snap off 3 pictures thats how fast he ended it. He is really looking forward to this weekend where he has a really big tournament at Adams Central in the neighboring town of Hastings... Hopefully he will get some good competition there. ALSO I hope he wins them all because I'm don't think I'm going to make it since I have my end of the year Rugby banquet. Here are pictures of how each match ended...




The part I was most impressed by was he didn't just use his favorite move to pin them all. When he did use it the guy basically put himself in the perfect position for it. So his record stands at 9-1 with 6 falls.

Tanner at Walnut Meet...

Here we are and Tanner is 6-1... yes he has one loss under his belt but I see it being the only one of the season since he had the guy in the first then just put himself in a HORRIBLE position and just couldn't find a way out. With a few more matches under his belt he is getting to be a little more diverse in his moves and you can tell his confidence in each match is getting better and better. Well its finally official... I'm old no longer are birthdays fun they are just yet another day, the nice thing is there are still presents involved and well I get to spend time with family... Here are a couple of gifts that I received... one of my favorite I got a little early and well mom thinks I may have already worn it out, its a NorthFace jacket.... its awesome I also go a pair of pajama pants that look like jeans they are pretty sweet!!!

Thanksgiving Break!!!

Well here it is Thanksgiving break!!! and wow I don't think I have ever been more excited it has finally come! Well I'm about ready to leave for GI I just need to grab all 15 tons of my laundry so I can get caught up.... I don't even have clean jeans to wear.... I think I'm gonna wear shorts and a long sleeved T which will pry be the last time I could even think of trying that this year... O well the open road calls my name so I better start heading... I should have some good pictures... and an update on T-bone... He has another meet today looking to keep that loss column with a big ole goose egg.

Tanner

Tanner is the youngest brother... but he is also the biggest of us boys. He is 14 and well he is one heck of a big kid. He loves his sports especially football, but right now he is on a traveling basketball team and also is on the wrestling team. His wrestling record is 3-0 and he has one pin on the season so far. His last meet he should have made that two but he just couldn't figure out what was wrong with his cradle that he had the guy in. Here are a few pictures of him really kicking some butt on the wrestling mat. I guess you could say all that beating on him a couple of years ago from Jordan and I is really starting to pay off. Ha Ha
